Solutions for Nonwovens for Continuous Cleaning of Rolls, Fabrics, and Belts
The manufacture of nonwoven materials is carried out in three stages: web formation, web bonding, and finishing treatment. Some typical web formation techniques are dry-laid, wet-laid, spun-laid and melt blown. What these processes have in common is the use of rolls, fabrics, and belts to transport the non-woven sheet throughout the different manufacturing steps. It is important these are kept clean to avoid process upsets and maximise output. If they are not kept clean, this can increase machine contamination, which eventually leads to sheets defects and quality issues. Kadant has a variety of solutions that provide continuous cleaning of rolls, fabrics, and belts. These include:
VeriLite Roll Cleaner Assembly™ - A compact and unique scraper assembly that is ideal for cleaning rolls.
M-clean System™ - A traversing cleaning system that utilises high pressure water and air, to clean and dry fabrics and belts.
