We are a global supplier of high value, engineered systems used in process industries worldwide. The Bury manufacturing site provides sales and applications expertise along with the design and manufacture of doctoring, cleaning, and filtration product lines to process industries across all of Europe, Africa, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia.
Our Otley office sells and supports Kadant’s fluid handling products and solutions and has responsibility for the provision of steam and condensate system engineering services in conjunction with Kadant Johnson Europe.
Heritage
The 100-year-old Vickery brand was created by Vickery’s Limited (now a part of Kadant U.K. Limited).
The company was started by the late Fredrick William Vickery, a gifted inventor and engineer. Vickery’s was dedicated to research and development and over the years was granted 139 patents for innovative designs related to machinery in the paper production process and other industries. Most notably, in 1931, the company launched the first composite doctor blade. The innovation of this initial composite material set the scene for the current state-of-the-art, advanced-technology doctor blades that now provide cutting-edge, best-practice cleaning solutions in a diverse range of worldwide industrial processes.
Kadant U.K. Limited continues the development and innovation today that established Vickery’s Limited as a market leader.
